Screw Star Wars, she got that Ben Shapiro movie deal money coming.

I really think "canceling" people that get duped by this stupid and admittedly dangerous stuff is not the right way to approach it. You just turn these people into outcasts and in some cases martyrs to a cause that does not deserve being put in the spotlight. In some ways the people that are convinced of this crap are victims of the people that make up this disinformation and we're throwing them out like garbage instead of getting them help to understand why it's so egregious.

She (and other people like her) didn't assault anyone or use a position of power to coerce someone into favors, sex, whatever. She repeatedly shared stupid, admittedly harmful ideas while clearly not understanding why it's so harmful. These people latch onto lies that push their confirmation bias buttons over and over and don't realize they're being played for fools. What's worse is they usually don't realize how harmful their opinion can be when it's inadvertently backing up racist, sexist, violent people.

I've got family down south that still wave the rebel flag out of "traditions" and post all the stereotypical god, country, nonsense they're fed because it's their confirmation bias being played like a goddamn fiddle. They don't hate black people, they don't connect the flag to it and don't understand why it's as big a deal as it is in reality. But the bigger problem is they don't see how sharing their "traditional values" stands behind and supports people that actually do racist, violent, abhorrent criminal things.

I don't follow Twitter, I don't know what all she has posted, but what little I've seen just sounded ignorant, out of touch, and like some of my extended family, playing the role of useful idiot to the people causing the real trouble. They're like individual nodes in a social botnet and they don't even realize it. They're addicted to this garbage - they need help instead of being thrown away.
