Screwed up my Verizon edge

The story is rather long so forgive me.

There is a little bit of back story on the 24th I early edged up to the note 4 paid all the fee's and sent back my old phone the 25th I decided to use 14 day guarantee because I wasn't a huge fan of the note so I returned it on the 1st and pre ordered the s6 then everything was good and I was sent on my way. So today was pretty much the most ridiculous day I have ever had as a consumer. I showed up to best buy at 10 am when the store opened to pick up my pre order galaxy s6 64g they grab my order and the free wireless charger and get going on activating it. This is where it started going downhill he got to the point in their "beast" system I'm assuming that's what they call the software on the pos to ring up the phone he gets the phone all scanned in and gets an error message manual credit check required great not a big deal credit is fine so he calls in and gets the approval from Verizon but the error message won't clear 3 times he tries this with no luck so he calls again Verizon has no issues and he can't get the stupid error message to clear. Finally he gives up on that and tries another manual system to get the phone activated and is on the phone with Verizon getting it all set up and 15 mins later the phone is activated on Verizon’s system but he cannot get yet another error message cleared something about the retail price not matching so he calls Verizon yet again and can't get the system to cooperate so they end up having Verizon cancel the edge contract so they can get a different phone and try that everything cancels just fine and he resets the phone and goes to start working on the new one. New phone is taken out of the cage and they talk back and forth for a good 10 mins trying to figure out what is going on so he goes through the first system again get all the information put in and boom same damn error message by this point it is almost 12:30 and I'm losing my cool. He goes to talk to his manager again and some reason decided to tell me they don't want "fry" another phone and tell me I need to go to a Verizon store and get the phone I'm pissed at this point and ask them what I'm supposed to do because I already sent my old phone back to Verizon so I don't have another phone to turn in, they won't let me have the wireless charger, and worst of all they won't refund my gift card for the pre order of the phone... Anyways, I get up to the Verizon store explain the situation and she goes to check my line and boom the stupid phone was still activated on my line I apologize because it wasn’t their fault and go back to my car and lose my shit call best buy tell them what Verizon corporate store says and apparently there is a Verizon rep and the store so I get put on hold for 45 mins why they try to figure out how to fix this situation. They left me on hold and updated me twice the first 20 mins and told me they are trying to figure it out so please keep holding after 20 mins I didn't hear anything back so I still have the call open until the 45 min mark no update so I get more pissed and drive back to best buy why the call is still on hold to figure out what in the hell is going on. Another 20 mins later and multiple explanations that didn't help and they could offer no explanation to what was going on it was 2:30 at this point finally they say they have it figure out and grab another phone and get to work again SAME FUCKING ERROR at that point I was done I wanted to lose my shit and flip out but I didn't I kept my cool somehow so the rep gets back on the phone to talk to some big wig and figure it out again. She takes my number (I had my wife’s phone with me in case something like this happened) and says she will give me a call back when she hears back from the regional guy. I get a call about 30 mins later from the best buy guy saying they think they have it figured out but it's going to take 3 business days to get it fixed and he apologized like 15 times and thanked me for not losing my cool and how him and the other guys were talking and said they don't know how I did what I did. He also said they will "compensate me accordingly" when I pick up my phone starting to wonder if that will even happen.
