SCT is a bullshit diagnosis, created by big pharma to lure victims like you into unnecessary psychiatric medication

Not sure if you're actually a doctor but can you answer my questions?

  1. Why do they downplay the patients symptom of problem with motivation, mild cognitive impairment and fatigue? But only listen to the mood aspect of the patient's issues?
  2. Why do they always ignore the side effect of SSRI and not try to treat it with other meds? When I first started 10mg Lexapro, I ended up vomiting my working memory turned to crap. I often forgot to wear shoes to work (my mom drives me to work) and I became generally very forgetful. Their answer was to raise the dosage to 20mg...
  3. If the patient didn't achieve full remission from SSRI, SNRI or Risperdal, why do they give up there? I've requested to trial with Bupropion, Reboxetine or Atomoxetine but got rejected.
  4. Why do they have to be black and white with prescribing meds based on diagnosis. They have no proof that my cognitive issues are from "depression" and their solution only worsened my symptoms. Why can't they consider some other possible diagnosis besides depression? Or at least let me try Strattera off-lable since I've partially responded well to NRI's effect of Cymbalta?

They say that seeking medical help is important if you've got a mental issue. But if the only thing they're going to prescribe is SSRI or antipsychotics, I might as well not bother. Also, my younger brother who is actually mentally healthy and functional unlike me; as he has learnt to drive, graduated from uni and has a job was prescribed citalopram for his problem with eye twitching. Now, he has a prescription to take SSRI forever as the doctor doesn't mind refilling it over and over. It seems like they're using SSRI for everyone regardless of the severity of the patients mental condition.
