Season 2 stars not playing in season 3

GOATS meta: Dafran Zarya, SMS Zarya, Decay Zarya, Sinatraa Zarya, Nenne Zarya, Profit Zarya, maybe BQB zarya. Haksal Brig, Rascal Brig, Rascal Baptiste, Erster Brig. Kind of hard to judge as GOATS was a teamwork based meta where supports decided games and made Zaryas look good or bad depending on how good the flex support was.

Normal metas/DPS metas in S2 where the real skill was. Stage 4 was the ONLY stage that mattered for DPS players unless you were playing counter GOATS comps in Stage 3. It was pure high skilled heroes. Players to watch were: Erster, Profit, Decay, Libero, Carpe, Corey, Happy, Diem, Striker, Architect, Fleta, Haksal, Nero and possibly Libero and SBB. The rest of the league's DPS players were a sad joke in comparison to the above players. This is where a lot of GOATS players on the top teams struggled and were benched in Stage 4 because they weren't good on high skilled heroes and were relegated to playing Symmetra and Doomfist.

Playoffs: Even more boring than GOATS for 'star' gameplay, it was Doomfist + Reaper the entire time. Orisas pulled and Doomfists punched the orisa pull. ResidentSleeper.

DPS star players were easy to judge. DPS was irrelevant in GOATS and only mattered in Stage 4. Main tanks are harder to judge because they live and die by their team. Guxue had a lot of hype, Bumper was considered the best MT in S2 on stats, but Smurf won the championship. We may never know who the best MT in S2 was. It's easier to know who the good offtanks were because it was a more mechanical skill based role so obvious leaders were Choi and Fury.

Supports was pretty easy to call though. Viol2t was the best player in the entire league last season, on ANY role. He led Shock thru GOATS meta and to their first championship. He was an even better Zen than S1 JJonak. He was also obviously the #1 flex support. Twilight was #2 flex support. JJonak was #3. Shu was #4. Moth and Slime were considered the best main supports.
