This season is almost at its end. What have been your favorite shows?

  1. Luluco, no contest. It was so ridiculous and over-the-top but it was fun all the way through. The references were on-point, the characters were funny and Triggers art was great aswell.

  2. Boku no Hero Academia. Sure, it's a fighting anime, but it has a great set of characters and the concept of "Quirks" was intriguing enough to keep me watching. The pacing was a bit slow but it fit the anime. Started reading the manga and can't wait for season 2.

  3. Kiznaiver. Started out slow, was great in the middle but it felt rushed. Sad that there weren't more episodes to flesh out some of the characters. I still liked it, but it could've been much better. It also had probably the best OP of the season and the OST itself was quite good. Characters were pretty "trope-y" but it worked in the context of the story.

Honorable mentions go out to Flying Witch and Netoge. Flying Witch was a good SoL series and Netoge was probably the surprise of the season for me. Really liked both.

The biggest downfall made Kabaneri. 2 episodes in I believed this could be AOTS, but then it started dropping so hard, I don't even know what the creators were thinking.

Re: zero is also not in my Top 3, simply due to the 2nd arc being really slow, Subaru not having any kind of decency and the female characters (except for maybe Rem) had 0 development whatsoever. But it has a second cour, so I can't really judge it completely, yet it needs to have more going for it than "MC suffers, quick, give us good ratings".
