Seattle-area conservators?

You don’t necessarily need to stay local (my conservator is 1500mi away from me), but there must be some good conservators out there.

You get what you pay for, too. It can get pricey. Obviously worth searching for conservators with up to date websites and examples of work. It will give you an excellent sense of their approach and sensibility. Recent work examples are helpful because you will get a feel for how highly they are considered

You might also ask some rare book dealers who it is they recommend. Some aren’t always willing to share a good binder or conservator though. Start with Pirages (rare books dealer) and see if they will recommend someone. Keep in mind they are at the top of the heap re dealers, and probably don’t fret much over price.

U of Washington has a famous program for conservation and I am sure they may have a list, but will probably not favor one over the other

They may even, like the North Bennet Street School out east, take in books to train students on. For free (or lower cost).
