Seattleites making a run to the border for…Coke?

Not to lifestyle shame anyone but I'm in my late 20s, and I don't know anyone who actually drinks soda anymore except as a mixer, or when getting fast food. Go-to drinks are primarily coffee, tea, maybe that fizzy flavored water, followed by a beer or a glass of wine at night. On the off chance I have a craving I don't mind paying premium on the single serving. I used to drink Diet Coke and it is an addiction, and it makes you feel like shit if you drink more than a can or two. And that's just diet which apparently isn't affected by the tax. Really glad I kicked that habit.

I'm against the tax 100%, it's regressive and inconsistent (I know how much sugar Starbucks packs into their drinks). But I do hope it causes people to reevaluate their health. Soda should absolutely not be a regular part of anyone's diet, and it's so easy to cut out.
