Sebastian Junger: “The point of journalism is to tell the truth. It is not to improve society.”

This is TLDR, but very related

I find much of this just so interesting! So Full disclosure I am ex-mil, Like most of the Moron Horde. I was part of a very small team (Non-combat). Everyone worked really hard because lofty goals.

Left Mil life to pursue private sector life. Again ended up in a rag tag group that was very small. Every Person Mattered! Totally felt at home. It was dangerous work and I had to trust my co-workers almost implicitly, Left that gig because I was on the road all the time.and fuck that. I did that in the Navy anyway

So Now 10 years into this new gig I'm just tired of the old game so I change shifts. Back to the we are a rag tag bunch of people that are just trying to keep the wheels on this thing.Super small team. Like we are 4-5 dudes against the world. Right at fucking home! Still loving it.

Co-Worker left the shift for a gig just working weekends. I don't blame him. He's worked garbage shifts his entire career. But you know what he told me the other day. He misses the camaraderie of the fight. He misses the "brotherhood". He misses working with the team. Anyways this was a long way of saying THIS IS HOW THE CON TEAM THOUGHT OF THEMSELVES! Oh so let's do Trello boards of who's an asshole..etx. They went all circlejerck
