Second Brexit referendum has 16-point lead as half of Britons back new vote, opinion poll shows

Dont put words in my mouth please. Money can enhance happiness. It can't bring happiness if you are living in a system you fundamentally disagree with. Money is an enabler of happiness not the reason for it. I know how inflation works and i know how the value of the pound going down effects the money in my pocket. As a society? The assurance that for right or wrong laws and legislation is only created, passed and enforced by our own representatives who are own citizens and voted for by our citizens. That such legislation is aimed primarily around British interests and not 27 other countries and further members of the eurozone out manoeuvring us. That decisions can be quicker in response to crisis. That we have more recourse to act against the top level of the system which is soley responsible to us as British citizens. Of course our government doesnt do these things but these for me are the next political government. Supporting massive decentralisation. To bring control over immigration to levels the British citizenship believe can be assimilated and doesn't lead to very quickly massive demographic shifts. (read some of my other replies as summarising that briefly doesnt explain for myself at least) . Economically? I won't provide hypotheticals on that. I admit in the short-medium term we are worse off especially under this government. Our growth may never be as fast. But you are equating personal benefit as one with economics. All the things i listed are things i consider personal benefit. It also comes down to personal beliefs. For me those things are worth voting for even after a financial hit. For someone who doesn't believe those issues are a concern then it is very difficult to focus on anything but the economics. I voted leave. I believe in the choice i made. The government and its oppositions never bothered to make plans. They should have. But in the end I wont lie to you. Those plans wouldn't necessarily make you feel better. At the end of the day our nation is extremely pollarised and half the country disagrees on fundamental aspects of our modern country. Whatever happened half of the country wasnt going to be happy. Partly why brexit negotiations arent going well That is why I am here trying to be polite and discuss. Ive lurked reddit for a while and I thought I'd finally start posting. We may never agree but i hope by being polite and respectful to each other will help. I fear depending on what happens polarisation will only get worse and so will anger.
