You're certainly welcome to your opinion but look at what you mentioned here:

Ratings: Is this the only standard of success? Another post addressed this much more intelligently and in a more complex way.

Awards: Someone's going to win one way or the other.

Critical Success: I've yet to form any theories on metacritical analysis but do feel free to share if you have any.

Commercial Success: See ratings.

I asked a question which you did not address. Which was whether you, as an r/television reader/contributor, feel that TV has declined in quality. Believe it or not I'm not trying to show off here, I'm well aware that many of this subreddit's readers know TV far better than I do. That's why it's a question.
