I find a lot of this discussion incredibly boring but frankly I'd rather he had these naysayers pushing him to be even better than getting the absurd hype the likes of TAA gets. Lampard himself got shit for being in the England team even when he was scoring 20+ a season. He's got the perfect attitude to improve and this kind of negative attention will only push him to improve his stats, which I think it's the real reason why people deride him, football fans these days get more from stats than they do from their own eyes which ironically would have helped Frank back in the day, Gerrard was always the more exciting player to watch, Scholes more silky, so he was the lumbering goal merchant. Mount is going to be a superstar, its nailed on for me.
