The comment i responded too insinuated that public employees shouldnt have the right to get lawyers or plead the 5th, or ignore subpoenas, im all about holding them accountable but not at the cost of constitutional rights, because today people want these republicans punished regardless of their rights, but what happens when its reversed and the gop is going after democrats and they no longer have their rights. The january 6th commission can and should issue subpoenas, and its up to each recipient if they want to testify or refuse and get charged with contempt and face jail time. Short of tourturing people in open court theres really no way for a so called democracy to force peoole to testify
