Secrets of the Multi-Level Millionaires: Ellie Undercover (2019) - "Journalist Ellie Flynn goes undercover to investigate 'multi-level marketing', an online selling scheme that promises young women the chance to earn big money as 'influencers'" (57m)

What's so crazy about mlm's to me, is that I'm kinda living the life they advertise and doing almost the same thing. Except I found a fun useful single product that I could price well and I sell using Facebook ads. I also own a bunch of cars I rent out. Both of these businesses demand little to no time from me. And I'll have revenues of around $400k this year. I guess margins are 40-50%.

But the difference is that I found my own product and buy ads. People love the product, so they share it without me asking them to.

So the dream they are selling is for sure possible, but not selling junk. And not to your friends. If they just changed their strategy a little bit, this would actually work. Just not through some kind of bullshit network.

I also was part of an operation to take down a major mlm in my country 5-6 years ago, so I know the business well.
