Sectarianism on the subreddit

A recent poll showed that 90%+ of the Shia population are still in support of the Shia duo of Hezb and Amal.

Habibi, 90 percent of all Lebanese have retained their party affiliations. The protests at their very peak amounted to 10 percent of the Lebanese population max.

There's no doubt that there is a particular sect in Lebanon that is still overwhelming in support of it's current leaders and has antagonized and been resistant to the mass uprisings more than any other sect.

You want to talk sects? Let's talk sects.

Christians: Many still loyal to their respective parties, and some of the parties used the protests for political gain and to disparage the ruling christian party

Druze: Loyal to PSP (or won't criticize PSP), for the vast majority publicly criticizing Jumblat for druze is as taboo as criticizing Berri for shias.

Sunnis: to be fair they were the only ones to actually leave their party affiliations (Tripoli + Saida). Some support for Hariri remains and is not negligible.
