Secular humanist morality is objective, but not absolute

Our epistemology regarding that objective fact is constantly changing and growing, therefore our secular morality is changing and growing.

Well, it's evolving. And just like with evolution, that doesn't mean it's going somewhere pleasant or productive or sustainable.

I think you're on the right track by treating the fact of my tastes as objective. I just think your taxonomy needs to be fleshed out even further.

Below is mine. Take it for a spin.

  • "Some say morality is objective. Others say subjective. These groups fight a lot; each sees themselves as clearly right, so the other group must be crazy. Turns out that they're both kinda-right. Morality is 'Subjective and Objective... and Objective'": "All Metaethics in Brief."
