Security clearance question

That sounds like skeptical to me. Let me put it this way, my wife is from Belarus. Belarus. That's one of the countries that was on the "Axis of Evil" lists from Condoleezza Rice during the Bush administration and our two countries don't get along - at all. Anyhow, I had a TS/SCI clearance with full poly and some other addons and I met my wife (from Belarus) while stationed in Germany. Long story short, I was dating her and I told my people and they did a background check, etc and was fine with it. Still kept my clearance etc and I even got a TS for DHS after the military. Her parents are STILL in Belarus and her father use to be in the military too over there. Anyhow, never had an issue with it.

So I don't know what he is talking about or maybe he is just afraid of the "possibility" of it or maybe he is just saying that to fluff up his position to make it sound more secret squirrel than it is, I don't know.

Also, if he isn't in the military and his employer said that, they are full of it because they don't make those calls to whether he gets to keep his clearance or not; it's not their decision. I worked for two different companies after the military using mine and never had an issue. I would say it is someone who is having a powertrip and wants to sound cooler than they are. 99% of the time, it is just that. I've seen it a hundred times.
