Seeing more games that are generally restricted to consoles being played on PC - how long until console gaming is going to be phased out?

"Both Fallout 4 & Witcher 3 require an HD 7870 2GB at minimum."

They actually don't. I don't why, but these companies always seem to list rather high minimum settings, probably just to be safe. Those minimum requirements allow you to play the game on medium-high, which is about what consoles put out.

"but time will catch up with you before the generation runs out."

It won't. The card doesn't magically get weaker than a ps4 over time.

" Windows 10 is free if you're upgrading from Windows 7 or 8. If you want a standalone licence (which you'd need in this case), it's $99."

Then Linux is free. Or you can stop being a pussy and just pirate it.

"But they're not exactly at punching weight with The Uncharted Collection," Oh boy ps3 games.

"Battlefront, or any of the other free games being tossed around with console purchases."

Free, except included in the price and require a monthly subscription, so not actually free.

You know what is free? Utorrent. Stop moving the goalposts.

"Where's the HDMI cord that you're using to connect with the TV going to come from?" Oh shit 4$ at Kmart if you're some fucking troglodyte who doesn't have an hdmi cable.

"The headset" They're not expensive, but that's more material not included with this build.

What's great is pcs don't use proprietary shit like your xbox so you can just use the one you already have.

"it seems a bit chintzy to save $20 by getting a PS3 or WiiU controller instead of one of the actual next-gen controllers" It's not "chintzy" they're better. The ps4 controller has a 6 hour battery life, the xbone controller takes AA batteries and requires a proprietary dongle. WiiU pro controller lasts almost 50 hours, but that's a different conversation.

but fuck it, you need a win.
