To each their own, but I have to disagree. Unless they have done something completely unforgivable, I think this mindset is the reason why so many people still have so many problems. People would just prefer to stay petty and live in the past instead of encouraging growth. No teenager is going to be completely emotionally mature, and silently finding pleasure in other people’s misfortune really isn’t much better than doing it openly. That doesn’t go to say that you have to forgive everyone, it’s really just about keeping a “their business is not my problem” attitude and letting people be, allowing them room to grow and learn from their mistakes. We are who we are and we’ll be who we’ll be.
