Seeing videos like this almost daily are why I’ve applied for my carry permit and joined this sub. What are things to look for and good practices to improve situational awareness?

It’s unfortunate that this happened to this woman. What’s also unfortunate is that most of you who commented on this event would judge me simply because I am a black male who wears a hoodie, (to keep me sweating/burning calories when working out), who you would probably think I am no good thug when I am actually a father of two, a husband to an amazing family medicine physician, a daily contributor to this sub-Reddit, and an auditor for one of the most prestigious accounting firms in the world who also happens to legally carry concealed every single day. You should NEVER judge a book by only it’s cover. Yes, in this instance the circumstances were extreme and this group was clearly up to no good, but you can’t go around scared of every black male you see in a hoodie. There are far more good black males than thugs out there compared to what is being pushed to you by the media. Come on guys, we all need to do better.
