"Seen by most as angry and hate filled music"

Hey, I'd like to commit karma suicide by dismantling your point and turning it against your mindset :

"Ignorance will crush us, destroy all that we have." What is all that we commonly have, as humans? Could it be shared culture? Meaning? How could ignorance destroy culture? Maybe by forgetting that culture is actually supposed to mean something besides being a lazy business fuelled by the popularity of its actors and ignorance of its consumers.

"So let us rejoice that the power's in our hands to shape us and make us keepers of fellow men" We have the power to create meaning and understand it, share it with others, the power to both create culture and let it define who we are. We can learn and live through art and music, refine our tastes to better reflect (and create) our personality rather than a cool stereotype, reconsider our values, try to be a better human being overall. We have to use that power in order to overcome ignorance.

"And now I ask you to take heed of my words to move with purpose to a future worth living" As opposed to ignorance who has its bases in a lack of understanding, purpose stems from knowledge and awareness. A shallow culture based around ignorance is opposed here to the future worth living, a world where people act with genuine purpose and meaningful values. Considering that according to a study, 30% of today's kids find fame to be more important than any other value, I'll point out that we're culturally closer to the stone age than a cuture worth living in. I wonder where does it come from...

I don't even listen to metal but I'll take that over Minaj anytime. Consider how many interpretations you can have to this "cliché" text, even when you stretch it. It's way better than listening to her talk about her ass, his dick and the intricate interactions and connections between them. But I guess that you don't get that cause you go out of your way to comically overanalyse a text only to confirm what everyone here wants to hear : people are so stupid and overemotional for stating that most of todays pop/trap music is trash by any standard conceivable besides personal taste, lol.
