[Seiko] Seiko Tuna Love. (Size comparison inside)

At long last, I have found my Tuna.

I was bitten by the Tuna about 2 years ago. However my smallish wrist (6.75) doesn't favor big watches.

Why love the Tuna? There are countless articles online that can go into detail. But in short, I think the Tuna line is one of the most influential watches in dive watch history. It revolutionized what a dive watch should be, along with the aesthetics.
I love that it won't get mistaken for a Sub clone like almost all black classic styled dive watches.

I have been searching for the perfect Tuna for years. I've handled just about every Modern Tuna from different collectors. I own the ["Baby Tuna"]( Which I absolutely love. However it's more more Monster than Tuna, and ultimately, it simply isn't part of the Tuna line. I love the watch and plan on keeping it. The design is absolutely perfect. Anyway, I have searched for years and finally found this one.

Why the 7549? I feel like it's the Tuna. It uses the classic 7C Quartz movement that in my opinion, is the best Quartz movement out there.

I searched for years, had the chance to pick one of these up many times but passed due to its horrible conditions. After all for a 30 year old tool watch that was made to take a beating, most were in horrible condition, if you could find one. I was able to get this one that went unworn for 20+ years with an absolutely perfect bezel and crystal. The markers are starting to get a nice Patina on it that makes this even more perfect.

The point of this post was to spread the love for Tuna. One of the things that put people off from the Tunas is the dimensions. The size of these things, on paper, can be intimidating. The "Tuna Can" name doesn't help its case.

However I wanted to illustrate the fact that because of the shirt and nearly non existing lugs, this wears very very small.

Here it is on my sub 7' wrist. It might not seem from the picture, but it sits well within my wrist (you can see the strap on my wrist).

Here are some shots of it compared next to the Omega Seamaster Pro 300m and the baby Tuna/monster.

I've read reports of it taking over wrists. Many people have said they ended up selling their other dive watches for it, including some big pieces (Omega, Tudor). I always scoffed at that, but I'm starting to really see were they're coming from.
