I am actually familiar with the Canadian Building Code and the progress that has been made. There are fantastic people working on the code, and I was lucky enough to take structural design courses with a few of them. My intentions may have not been clear: I am not hoping to promote fear. Rather, I am wanting to highlight a deficiency in political will to spend money to speed up the alterations and upgrades. I also never claimed to be an expert, I am always open to learning from others.
