Self Defense: I just bought a Tactical Pen

You will never be able to adequately defend yourself against the full force of the US government should they decide to take you out. This idea of using 2A to defend against a tyrannical government is so woefully outdated and pathetic.

What are you going to do when the government decides to firebomb your home or roll through your neighborhood with tanks demanding subservience? Do you really think you're going to "stand your ground" with a handgun and an assault rifle? How many anti-aircraft rounds have you stockpiled for when the government decides to drone strike you into the Stone Age?

I'm not trying to be a dick, but as someone who owns a handgun for personal defense, the idea that we're going to be able to stand up to a government with the world's largest nuclear arsenal is laughable. They will ALWAYS be able to escalate to a level that you could never dream of withstanding.

All that to say that - knowing there is fuck all you can do - then why aren't we working harder to enact gun safety measures to prevent incidents like the Uvalde shooting? THAT'S what we should be focusing on. If the government wants to take me out, oh well, but I'd rather stop being worried about children being murdered in schools. That's something we can actually fix.
