Self defense where guns are all but restricted?

Or maybe Bronze Age. The amount of armour worn by would-be modern barbarians in close range situations most likely wouldn’t be anything besides cloth or some leather.

Most Bronze Age combatants were the same, they were about as armoured as modern day combatants except only without guns.

Bronze Age weapons and techniques were designed for lightly armoured to none opponents like the ones today.

I heard Bronze weapons don’t rust and instead turn green but question is why are they more expensive than steel if they’re easy to make just by casting and don’t need forging? Each time they broke they were just recasted.

They’ve also survived in digs and as soon as the green was cleaned off all good as new compared to iron weapons.
