Self help writers

I used to do recruiting, I did it for 10+ years and never found a good book on it. I thought about writing one, but soon realized why there are none. First of all, good recruiters don’t have time to write books, since they’re too busy recruiting. And second of all, to write a good recruitment book you have to give examples, and that requires using company names and/or position titles (even if you use no company names, they can be guessed from the position titles in some cases), and you could be sued for using any names or titles or examples, because these searches are supposed to be confidential.

All of that said, if you were writing a strict strategy guide with no examples, then you could be fine. But based on all of what I said, I decided not to write a recruitment book.
