Sell me on EVE Online

Fellow newbie here, let me chime in a bit.

  1. There's a lot more downtime than uptime, But the adrenaline is serious and addicting, Recently, I suffered my very first expensive ship lost (ahem for a newbie) of 10M, without thinking a bit, I went ahead and fitted 4 more ships, and lost 3 of them, for a total of 40M, before I cleared my head and called it quits.
  2. Patience is needed here I'm afraid, there's quite a lot to learn in eve, and while skilling for a ship doesn't take long, you will find that efficiently piloting a ship is a whole different experience. 3.Yes and no, so long as you have fun and don't get butthurt, no one will actively try to hunt you down, everyone is a opportunist, you just happened to be the opportunity :D
  3. Don't fly what you can afford, My wallet is very small, but I fly very small and cheap, at least until I can make more money, Or, like most people, you won't care about your wallet so long you can have fun.
  4. For whom do you play for? So long as you are having fun, you win. I only play for a few days, less than 1 hour each session, and while I can't say I have accomplished anything, I had my fill in those short sessions, stick with reasonable things you know you can do solo, and if you can group up for something, then by all means do so.

Summary: Eve will ruin your views of all MMOs, have fun its a game, it's your time,so long you have fun, you win.
