Sellecting a beginer hardtail- questions

As a preface: I'm aware that my advice probably isn't going to help you at all, but taking a chance I might inspire you a little bit.

Try not to over think it. Trust your gut here and go with the bike gets you most excited about riding. These are all going to be decent bikes. People will tell you that you shouldn't base your decision on a paint job (which is true) but, shit, if that's something that gets your jellies rolling for a bike, then fuckin' go for it. Even though 26" is no longer industry standard, I'm a firm believer they still make for a great bike so don't let that stop you if its the bike that piques your interest. None of these are particularly inspiring when it comes to the components, but they're all decent bikes that should keep you happy for quite a while.

That being said, based on the frame geometry, I vote for the Marin San Quentin if you want something that will feel a little more confident when your nose is pointed down hill.

Maybe the Cannondale Cujo if you want something for cross country type riding. (The 11spd cassette and Rockshox fork are a + all other options have a 8 or 9spd cassette which I think you'll find yourself wishing you had a few more gears in the climbs.
