Like you said already, it wasn't an investment, because if it was, you made a poor one. You literally admitted to it being a sub par financial decision. You just wanted to be in that area so you over paid. You literally confirmed what I said. I don't fault people for doing so. However, it's bad financial advice. So stop telling people it's a good deal to still do so. It's not a good deal. It's just that you really really wanted it. And didn't care. That doesn't detract from the fact it's a sub optimal way to buy something.
