Selling the stuff you don't use

I'm 33 and chronically ill, as well. My Mom has really been on my case about selling stuff on Ebay because she is a hoarder (reformed hoarder?) who is in the process of clearing out her house, and she said I can have the money from anything I sell of hers to help pay my medical expenses. She even said she'd take the things to the Post Office for me, because I can't drive. She just wants them gone, and wants to turn them into something someone in our family can use. My Dad died in 2010, and the entire contents of his home office, including a bunch of records and electronics (which might be obsolete, but I have no idea) are just sitting there for me to try and sell. The task has felt insurmountable, though. So, despite badly needing the money, I've only listed a few items. I hate taking pictures, and I'm not that good at it, but I'm somewhat better at writing descriptions. The problem is, I think she hung onto all of this stuff because she thought it was valuable, and I suspect a TON of it is actually worthless junk that nobody would pay for, so I'm betting it will take lots of research about each item to figure out if it is even worth the time to list and photograph it. Also, feeling sick all the time has really killed my motivation to tackle a project I've been dreading! But... I shall persevere. Mainly, because of this post. Also, encouragingly enough, I listed two items last night after I read this, and both have already sold.
