I don't think the post (that this one is replying to) was actually meant to be taken seriously as an "attack" on people who truly believe that the Dokis will exist one day. I took it as a lighthearted jab at the unlikeliness of them actually becoming "real people". Taking it so seriously like this just seems unreasonable...

No one is saying that 10 years down the line there won't be better AI and stuff, people are just saying that even if it does happen it shouldn't replace reality. And Idk what all this "we live in a simulation" stuff is but that's just a bunch of conspiracy imo.

But yeah, my point is, no one is actually saying that you're just fooling yourself or any of that. Of course AI will be amazingly good some day, and of course people will use it as an escape from reality and comfort. All they're saying is making some jabs at how some people want to use it to replace reality. No one wants to take the fun from you, they want to make sure you don't try to replace the real world with a fake one, for your own sake.
