Semi-weekly Thursday Discussion Thread - May 02, 2019

I’m pro-natal, so I tend to side with pro-lifers on specific issues but don’t want an outright abortion ban. In general, I prefer women to have the choice and choose to have children.

A fetus at 26-27 weeks gestation has a 90% chance of surviving outside the wound, electing to kill the baby before removing it from the wound when it would otherwise survive is an immoral practice, not dissimilar to infanticide. Limiting choice at that point is in the healthcare interests of the child, you can do this by requiring a board of multiple doctors to approve the procedure and potentially providing counseling so people are aware of the reality of their choice and all of their options.
