Senate Democrats can now officially pass more bills with 51 votes | Democrats just got an unprecedented Senate blessing.

So does this mean we're now going to get the public option that the Democratic Party explicitly promised in it's 2020 party platform since there's no way the Republicans can block it?

Nah, just kidding. Democrats will refuse to implement it just like they refused to create a single payer system in California after campaigning on that very issue. Thousands of people on this sub will defend them as break their promise (again), and then accuse anyone who asks Democrats to keep their word of being a Nazi and a white supremacist. Finally, the mods on this subreddit will forbid any discussion of the topic and ban anyone who brings it up. Good times.
