Senator wants to know how police can locate any phone in seconds without a warrant

Many years ago, I found myself in the back of a police car because of looking suspicious late at night. Anyways, they asked me if I’d ever been in trouble with the police, to which I lied and said no, because I’d never been formally charged or fingerprinted or anything.

They punch my name into their laptop, and fucking hell they had a list of every time I’d ever talked to a cop in my life. They had stuff I’d forgotten, that happened when I was a teenager and long before the internet or any digital archives. I was shocked, and showed it. They just laughed and told me to never lie to the police again, and let me go.

So now, when a cop is behind me on the highway, and I wonder if he’s running my plate, I wonder at all the crap he is reading about me.
