send help pls

Hi! I was a shiftee to ID then shifted to Arki in UPD. ID required a minimum GWA, portfolio, exam, and interview, while Arki only had a GWA requirement. This was 6-8 years ago though. I think Arki requires an interview now, but I’m not sure. Just be diligent in checking requirements and shifting/transferring deadlines. Also, practice drawing and prepare as much as possible because simply liking math and arts is not going to cut it. Make sure your portfolio stands out from the rest. Just try your best to maintain high grades also as this ensures you have an edge over others. Nakakapagod talaga palipat-lipat since I did it twice, I could never rest and chill and stop being grade-conscious, pero ganoon talaga eh.

Also, have a back-up plan. Apply not only to Arki and ID, but other courses as well that pique your interest. This way, you can enter another program na interesting pa rin sa’yo if you don’t make the cut. You might find a new interest or field this way, if not you can try shifting again another year.

Arki and ID aren’t easy. Hindi lang din siya pagalingan sa drawing. Be prepared to take a lot of criticism and lots of sleepless nights (can be lessened through proper time management pero minsan di talaga kaya). Nakakapagod siya dahil ang deadlines hindi lang presentation, may models pa, may boards pa. Make sure you have enough love for the arts and math to carry you through five years. But what I can tell you right now is that everything is worth it. :)
