Daaamn Asuka. It only took one beatdown and the capture of your friends to throw away everything you believe in? I'm not sure how I feel about that. I don't think they need to put her through the wringer this much to establish Yumi as the protagonist. In a way I found that scene at the park worse than last week's fight, because it tramples over Asuka's character development in a single sentence. There must have been a more elegant way to sideline her than that.

The rest of the episode was alright. Glad to see NuHebi finally making a proper appearance. Moreover I liked seeing the evil shinobi squads going on actual missions for once. That's such an infrequent occurrence between all the fan service and silliness it's easy to forget that's their job. Crimson Squad's masks seemed a bit pointless, though.

Ryōna stole the entire PBS redux segment by being Ryōna.
