Sept. 7, 2015 ~ Bernie Sanders Labor Day Fundraising ~ $15 for $15 Minimum Wage

To be perfectly honest with you, I do not see what is "seriously" confusing about two fundraisers in the same week.

You project your own terms of life when you say: "People can't exactly afford to donate twice"

Maybe you cannot but others may be able to. BOTH fundraisers -- would together cost a voter LESS THAN $25 to partake in. There is no "must" to any of this. And unless Sanders himself has written you an email insisting this fundraiser be cancelled -- I find your fears preemptive and unfounded.

Either you will support it or you won't...but if you don't support it, it will not be in the interest of Bernie Sanders...as presently two fundraisers -- in a grassroots effort wherein no one person -- save our candidate is "the boss" -- two fundraisers is not confusing at all.

The link on the page that was set up goes DIRECTLY to ActBlue ... and to www.berniesanders.com

...so the donations WILL be counted.

I appreciate your tip, but I am one ahead of it already, as the fundraising pages are directly linked to the OFFICIAL campaign site.

It is your choice to deny the post if you wish to...

However doing so feels more founded in your personal offense at the idea of two fundraisers in the month of September than in the open mind and inclusive nature of the Sanders Campaign which requires the help of many millions of interested voters.

Your time as a moderator might be spent better washing away posts that degrade, or seek to disinform people about Bernie Sanders -- and not in picking issue with those trying to increase the donation to his campaign. In comparison the gripe seems overly intensive for the good will effort it proposes.

Presently -- as you said -- there is "no guarantee" that those who have signed up will donate... And I am sure the same could be said about the Birthday fundraiser. We cannot predict who will actually partake. But it is GETTING THE WORD OUT that matters.

TO ME? As a 40+ year old male? A cute birthday cake fundraiser DOES NOT get my interest. TO ME as a 40+ year old male a BERNIE'S SUPPORT OF LABOR FUNDRAISER DOES get my interest.

You can overlook that fact, or quarantine the concept to a single experience, but knowing full well about sales and advertising as my extensive career has provided me -- it is important that the fundraising effort hits more than just "cutesy"....

In other words, many see a birthday cake with candles and they keep scrolling. But those who see a Labor Supportive fundraiser for Bernie Sanders? Likely stop and read it. I can only speak for myself -- and do not assume to project my terms upon another in an open ended grassroots campaign effort to command one to fall in line with anything other than support.

I'm not a 20 year old girl - and if it wasn't for the Labor Day $15 fundraiser on the 7th?? -- I would likely NOT donate on the 8th, but rather on my own time.

As for the Month of October as you mentioned? On October 13th, 2015 there is a fundraising event on the day of the First DNC Debates. Sanders for President reddit can help promote it and therein aid the increasing of money to the Sanders campaign -- OR it can choose to fold arms and disassociate itself from the fundraising efforts which go on with or without the help of reddit moderators....but if the moderators do choose to ignore such efforts -- it is more due to personal gripes and issue, than in the spirit of accruing funds to the Official Sanders campaign site in whatever way possible.

Sincerely..
