In September 2017, a police officer shot and killed a queer college student in Atlanta. By the end of the year, several of Scout's friends had been arrested, and two were dead. What happened at Georgia Tech?

It tells the entire story and even has photographic closeups of the scene in the first part of the article.

One of the points is, yes this person was trying to suicide by cop. Does that mean the cops need to oblige? Especially if the person is a mentally disturbed child, and barely armed with a closed Leatherman.

The article also mentions this happened before in 2010 (or so) with a guy that had a REAL Samurai sword and that they just pepper sprayed the guy.

Scout did not need to be killed, even if he wanted it. Scout NEEDED mental help, not assisted suicide.

Anyways, the bulk of the article delves into what happened AFTERWARDS. Scout's 2 best friends were arrested for inciting a riot while GTPD gets to sweep the entire thing under the rug. Those 2 friends eventually committed suicide.

But go ahead and comment while not reading the article.
