To make more space for others. It could be the difference between someone being able to make a turn or not further back. Also so no one cuts between.
Has it not occurred to you that you are supposed to stop far enough away so you can see my tires on the pavement?
I don't really care about that rule, things are situational.
If somebody rear ends you, do you want the front of your car to go into the back of mine?
No that would be inconvenient.
Has it occurred to you that I actually do not enjoy sitting in traffic and wish I was going faster as well?
Yes.
Do you believe that by riding my ass you will magically make all the traffic disappear in front of me resulting in me going faster?
No.
Would you drive like that with your family in the car?
Yes.
Do you feel cool when you speed around almost causing accidents?
Yes. I'm insecure about myself and I don't care about putting others in danger because I'm selfish.
