[SERIOUS] Americans what can we do to stop the problem with police brutality?

Near impossible question. Culture change, on every side. When officers do something wrong, we need to know that they are punished for it. We need to know that police officers aren't the ones in charge, but rather the entire justice system as a whole is .

People need to accept responsibility for illegal actions. You aren't going to jail because that police officer, right there, told you to. You aren't going to see your kids because of that police officer arresting you. You are going to jail because YOU fucked up. You did something illegal. So, don't get mad at him/her. Don't charge them. Don't try to kill them. Just sit the fuck down and accept responsibility.

Personalize everybody. It's a person first. It's not, oh shit, a cop! It's Frank, a guy who just wants to get his shift over and go home to his family. And same for the officer.

Media needs to shut up until there is a guilty verdict. A lot of this "police brutality" is two weeks of "oh my, did you hear what that dirtbag did?" Then a month of discussions, reactions about how much of a dirtbag the cop was. Then five minutes of, this is what actually happened. Then either ten seconds of, oops, we were wrong. Or another month of discussions, reactions...

It's not a gang, you're not a snitch. If something wrong happened, then speak up. If a cop touched a member of the opposite sex, speak the fuck up! That's not about trust, that just breeds a toxic environment that breeds more toxic environments.

It's not a you versus us problem. It needs to be, how can we make our community a better, safer place? Everyone should feel they have a say in that discussion.

There are extremes on both sides of the law. As long as you don't allow those extremes to exist, the problem is solved.
