[Serious] Has anyone here actually recovered from depression? If so how? How did you stop your life being so meaningless?

I've achieved remission a few times which is slightly different? What helped is therapy for my Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (MBT), volunteering with the homeless and spirituality. Currently dealing with mild/moderate Depression and Anxiety. On Venlafaxine which is helping immensely but some of the side effects are really bothering me so I am seeing my GP tomorrow. Also currently volunteering, learning how to play the guitar and making sure I see a friend at least once a week and that I go out at least 5 days out of the 7. I feel like i'll never achieve full recovery but we'll see. I think my shrink said Depression will probably be something I always have to deal with? I am giving it my best shot anyway.
