[Serious] Dear Reddit, how do you cope with the fear that one day your parents are going to leave this world?

I lost my dad five years ago in a car accident. It really broke me to pieces. Having a loved one ripped out of your life so quick like that really hurts. Breaks my heart thinking I’ll lose my mom one day too and so I gotta love and appreciate every second I still have with her.

But it’s the circle of life.

We are born, we grow, we learn, we find our better half’s and build families and try to live a happy life with them till the clock runs out. Just like we didn’t have a say when we were born, we can’t have a say when it’s someone’s else’s time to go. So enjoy the journey and the memories and the time you still have together.
