First off, let me thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate any help provided. Here's a run down of my odd situation.
I was running the AC unit on a hot day and watching TV. I think the dishwasher might have been running too. That is the only power sources I can recall being used at the time.
I heard an electrical noise, and the TV started flickering. I looked around for smoke or fried outlets, none present. Didn't think anything of it at first. 2 days later, it's clear that 5 of our appliances stopped working.
Water Heater (cold showers suck) Stove (lights work, clock is on, but not the burners) Drier (it can spin the clothes, but no heat) AC Unit (summer is winding down, not a terrible loss atm) Dish Washer (washes dishes, but won't dry them now)
Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? None of my breakers were switched off. I turned off the the main power to the house for 1 minute and flipped it back on, nothing changed.
Did I lose 4 appliances in a single power surge? Who should I call to come fix this issue, individual vendors per appliance, or start with an electrician?
Any help or personal experiences would be grateful. Thank you.
