[Serious]Have you ever known someone who wholeheartedly believed that they were wolfkin/a vampire/an elf/had special powers, and couldn't handle the reality that they weren't when confronted? What happened to them?

I'm doing just fine. When I was younger I used to think someone cursed me with a form of vampirism. My reasoning was that while on a hike, I came across a pentagram made of logs, I took it apart because it freaked me out and thought I was cursed because I was extremely hungry all the time, constantly craved meat ( I was a vegetarian ) and I was suddenly allergic to garlic ( I know that's not a whole lot to go off of, but I believed it ) My family is super superstitious, and my grandma, told me a lot of stories about my ancestors who were cursed, so I honestly believed that I was cursed with a vampire-like hunger. When my friends confronted me, I just accepted that we had different belief systems, and thought that we just had different ways of thinking. Today, I realise it was just an Iron deficiancy that was making me crave meat, and the allergy was just an unfortunate coincidence. Because that part of my life was a little cringey, I made it a joke with my friends that knew about it. That I was secretly a 130 year old vampire named Vladmir Sücayürblüd. So now, I'm a a 130 year old vampire who works at The Human Bean
