[serious] first year medical student

You will likely be averaging at least 50 hours of work per week in MS1 and MS2. Depending on your intrinsic abilities it may be more or less.

During MS3, you will in the hospital around 40-50 hours per week - then have another 20-30ish hours for studying. Again, the amount of time spent studying will depend on you - but it’ll be extremely high, and you’ll have to do it all while you’re exhausted after each work day.

MS4 is big lols in the US - quite chill. Not sure how things are in Egypt.

Not yet a resident so I can’t comment there, but my best guess: same hourly commitment as MS3 but less stress (you’ll know what you’re doing a little bit more and the learning will be more management-based - not learning a million new diseases and drugs).

Medical school will suck. There’s no escaping that. But will get used to it. Your brain and body will adapt, and you will experience immense personal growth.

Like I said before, welcome :-).
