[serious] For atheists, why don’t you believe in God?

Prayer is just thinking of shit in your own brain. It does nothing for others and nothing is reading your mind lol. I hate when people say they’re praying for someone in say a hospital, don’t lol god isn’t doing shit science does the work,

Church also has quite the guilt trip business model. If you don’t go then god won’t love you as much. Also if you don’t give us money then god will look at you as selfish. Churches are just businesses at the end of the day.

I once asked a religion teacher of mine (went to a catholic school) if god could see into the future. My teacher said of course, I then asked her why god created Adam and Eve if he knew original sin would come into the world and was given some bullshit free will answer. God is kind of a dick if you ask me. Also I don’t know where people expect to go after death. All of your memories are contained within your brain and it’s anatomy. There’s nothing that’s coming with you, sadly I think when you’re dead you’re just dead. Same thing as before you were born. Spend your time living and not feeling guilty about going to church every weekend. Find something more useful to do with that time then pretend worshipping something that exists without concrete proof…

To church’s credit it does give some people an outlet to feel a sense of community and a purpose to do good in the world and I respect everyone’s beliefs, but at the end of the day if you’re doing good deeds just to get a spot on the heaven list are your intentions even good in the first place?
