[Serious] Former racists of Reddit: What interaction with the race you hated made you re-evaluate your racism?

Not gonna use a throwaway account. And im not even sure if its a racist thing. But I have come to dislike Indians and Pakistanis just because of their habits and interactions, but mainly because of their relationship with money. And this might just be me but every one of them that i have encountered have had the same annoying/bad traits, i have yet to come across one that isnt like that. So now to list those things. They are cheap and not honest when it comes to money. They twist words just for the sake of saving a couple dollars here and there. They will take a working merchandise, clean their old broken one and then return it as the original one. They dont pay on time and when they do pay eventually, once again they go back to "you said this much not that much" excuse to pay less than agreed. Ive gone out with a few of them that are friends of friends and have noticed that they are present when someone else is buying rounds but dissapear if its their turn. They forget their wallets quite a bit. I dont get upset about the money, but the fact that they think they are fooling people that consider them friends into paying for their night out, i would do that for a friend if i knew they are strapped for cash but dont take advantage of nice and honest people. Maybe its just a few bad apples that give a bad name to the rest of them, but its everyone that ive encountered so far that show those traits.
