I very rarely post on here, but reading a bunch of these responses brought back some painful memories. Sadly I knew a few that had taken their own lives, but one case in particular hit me the hardest because he was a such good friend that I talked to most days.

This happened back in 2012. My friend lived about 2 hours from so we weren't able to hang out all the time but because we are both huge motorsport fans, most days after work or school we would be playing Forza Motorsport 4. So countless hours were spent talking all forms of racing and just random normal talk, he was one of the very few really good friends I've had over my life (24 years old) so we talked about everything. This would happen several times a week for about a year so needless to say, we were pretty close. That is when he had to move to Dubai for work, I believe it was for a year he had to stay there. We talked just as much as before, he went on and on about all the nice cars he would see etc etc.. even though with the time difference it was difficult. He didn't seem depressed or anything but I could tell he was having a hard time since his father was the only one he knew there. It was about 3 months into his Dubai stay when heard through a mutual friend that he had taken his own life. I was in so much shock that I couldn't talk for hours. I had no idea what to say nor could I wrap my head around it. Having lost someone that close has definitely changed me, I can't really describe how but I know for sure it has impacted my life since then.

On a good section of the Forza 4 Leaderboards, he had some of the #1 times in the world. He stayed #1 for a year before his times were beaten but you can still find him in the top 10 for most. Looking back, he ended up sending me the main car he used for much of his #1 times. Which I thought was very weird but just figured he was going to stop playing....not to do what he did.
