[Serious] Hi Reddit; I'm down; I don't feel as if anything is ever going to get any better; I see no end to the melancholy - how did you change and really improve your life for the better? What was your journey?

Some of this may sound cliche, but here is my story, straight from the beginning. I never grew up with the perfect life. I am not grown up yet, but I tend to think I've had my fair share of hard times. I'm gay. I have retinopothy of prematurity. This means that I can't play any sports, I can't run, I can't play any of the instruments I want to, I can't be the adventurous person I want to be. RoP means that the retina in your eye starts to detach, so you loose your vision. My retina is very thin and this is why I can't do anything above. I can't play on trampolines, etc. I used to have ptsd, and I have gone through depression. I met someone amazing who has helped me a lot, but unfortunately couldn't stay in my life for more than 6 days. She taught me how to not dwell on the past and what has happened. To enjoy every little moment that you have. The way I get through my daily life is I write. I write stories, tons of them, that mirror my life (that was mainly on accident.) I don't know your life, and I don't know your struggles, but my advice for you would be to explore. Explore yourself, understand what makes you feel this way, explore nature, explore the world. There are so many beautiful things to love. If you have someone you can count on cherish that. If you have a friend let them know how much you enjoy them. Have excitement in the small things, and sometimes you just have to let everything go. I recommend music for that. Pierce The Veil - A Flair for the dramatic or Black Veil Brides - Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones. Just do what makes you happy. For me that is making other people happy. I have helped a lot of people that have gone through similar experiences and that is truly why I take the time to live. If you could elaborate more on what you are going through maybe I could help you.
