[Serious] If you are not American, why do you care about our Government shut down so much?

I’d say that we have a lot of our own problems to deal with (i.e. Brexit), plus we often get posed questions like the OP has posed here, asking why we care. Take the commentary of someone like James Corden. He’s a British man, just as educated as the average American, and has a team of researchers fact checking what he says before it airs but when he makes a comment about the American government, he gets flamed for getting involved when he shouldn’t.

I don’t wanna start an argument but it’s something that kinda upsets me bc when we critically evaluate the situation we get told to mind our own business, but when we show apathy instead, we’re also wrong. (I’d definitely much rather be given licence to critically evaluate a political situation than to ignore the problems of fellow human beings)
