[Serious] If KD in a lose-lose situation again this season? If Nets won the title, "of course he would he got Harden + Kyrie", if not, "KD can't win anything outside of Golden State"

Honestly it's stupid but it depends on how difficult the path is.

LeBron went to Miami because he legitimately thought "not 1 not 2 etc" he really thought it would be easy and they would just rack up the rings. If it had been as easy for him as it was for Durant on the 2017 Warriors for LeBron people would be calling his ringzzzz fake also or whatever they do with Durant. But because the Heat almost lost and had to fight like hell to scrape out two rings now people feel he "earned it" and they can also mythologize it as "he was able to make a leap grow as a player and be what we always wanted". You need a struggle for the mythology of fans.

I dont think itll be joke city for Durant and the Nets at all but if they really do just go 15-1 this postseason and run to a title people will do their asterisk shit. If however the Nets win a title where they almost lose, Durant has memorable moments, wins FMVP etc then perceptions will change. It's all just such a stupid game of narrative and fan fiction
